Does Smart Album create a copy of my photos?
No, Smart Album creates a Smart Index on the photos inside the Photo Library.
My photos have keywords and tags assigned to them by other applications (Lightroom, Bridge, Picasa, iPhoto etc.). Can Smart Album read these keywords/tags?
Yes, Smart Album has the capability to read these as long as the application they were written with conforms to the IPTC standard. Some applications do not store the keywords in the photo itself. In order for Smart Album to read such photos correctly, you will have to export them and make sure that the keywords are included in an IPTC compliant manner.
Does Smart Album read star ratings assigned by other applications (Lightroom, Bridge, Picasa, iPhoto etc.)?
Yes, but only when you use the Camera Connection Kit to import the photos. Unfortunately, the star ratings may be lost when syncing photos via iTunes. I have files a bug report with Apple and working actively to solve this issue.
Can I retain the keywords and star ratings of my photos when exporting them to the Camera Roll?
Currently Smart Album only enables the addition of keywords. iOS doesnŐt support the addition of Star Rating to photos.
How do I delete a keyword using Smart Album?
Smart Album gives you the capability to delete keywords that arenŐt assigned to any photos. Every time the app detects keywords that are not accompanies by tags, a trash can automatically appears to give you the option to delete the keyword. Just tap on it and the job is done!
How do I delete a Smart Album?
There are two ways of doing just that. You can press EDIT and tap the MINUS sign to delete an album. Alternatively, you can do a right to left swipe over the album name and it will disappear and delete itself.
Can I delete a filter?
Yes! You can conveniently delete filter with a simple right to left swipe over the filter name.
